In today’s world, where brands compete for consumers’ attention in a sea of options, having a well-designed logo has become a fundamental necessity. A logo is much more than an image: it is the visual representation of a brand, its identity and its promise to the customer.
A well-designed logo should be memorable, versatile and suitable for any type of support, from the web to packaging. In addition, it must clearly transmit the values and essence of the brand. A poorly planned design can lead to confusion or a disconnection with the target audience.
Creating an effective logo requires a deep analysis of the market and a detailed understanding of the message the brand wants to project. Designers and creatives play a crucial role in this process, applying their knowledge and skills to make the logo not only attractive, but also function as a powerful and long-lasting communication tool. In a highly competitive environment, a good logo can be the key to differentiating yourself and lasting in the consumer’s mind.
Furthermore, the creation and appropriate use of a logo occupy a fundamental place in the training of programs such as the MArch Advanced Master’s Degree, the MArch Master’s Degree in Architecture, Design and Innovation and the Postgraduate Degree in Digital Design and Innovation. In these trainings, students work together with Gimeno Gràfic, the studio led by Pepe Gimeno, winner of the National Design Award, to understand in depth the importance, position and use of a logo in the visual identity of a brand. On the other hand, with Sevak Asatrián, students investigate the creation of logos, acquiring the necessary skills to successfully face the development of this essential component in the design of a solid and effective visual identity.
