Public Speaking Classes with César Gómez-Mora at MArch

This week, Public Speaking classes have begun for students from the different MArch programs, giving students a unique opportunity to perfect their presentation skills. During these sessions, students will learn how to handle themselves confidently in front of an audience, working on aspects such as the use of gestures and eye contact to establish a genuine connection with the audience. This focus on gestural communication will allow them to capture the attention of their listeners and reinforce the effectiveness of their messages.

In addition, the course will address the preparation of visual presentations aimed at improving the clarity and impact of the content presented. Students will explore techniques to design ad hoc materials that facilitate the understanding of the main ideas and the logical flow of the presentation, ensuring that their message is delivered in a precise and attractive manner. With this combination of skills, we seek to provide students with solid tools to face real situations of public speaking, enhancing both their expressive capacity and the quality of their visual supports.

César Gómez-Mora is an expert in public speaking. He trained as a computer scientist and has worked in software marketing, living in cities such as Amsterdam and now Valencia. His concern for better communication in public presentations led him to become a professional, to the point of organizing Ignite, a competition for ultra-fast talks, and coordinating TEDx talks in Valencia. Today he comes to share his knowledge with us so that we can change our way of thinking when speaking in public.
