The renowned designer and interior designer Francesc Rifé, whom the MArch students already visited last January during their trip to Barcelona, recently shared his knowledge in an inspiring lecture addressed to the students of the master’s and postgraduate programmes in design and digital innovation. During his visit, he shared some of his projects, showcasing his experiences and perspectives. Rifé founded his studio in the mid-nineties and today he already has projects worldwide, having become one of the most prominent figures in the field of international interior design.
Some of the most representative projects he shared in his intervention were the UDON or Bosco de Lobos restaurants, or the Alzueta Gallery, all of them in Barcelona, the Scalpers Flagship Store in Seville (which we already talked about in the MArch blog), the Casa Grande Hotel in La Rioja, acting on heritage, or the Vibia stand for the Milan fair that the MArch students visited on their trip in April.
With a minimalist approach and a remarkable ability to create balanced and timeless spaces, his projects have been recognised both nationally and internationally.
Francesc Rifé’s participation in our school provided students with a unique opportunity to learn from and connect with a benchmark in the design and architecture industry.
