The Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) has inaugurated its new Library Building, a modern and multifunctional space that becomes the epicentre of academic training, well-being and social development of the university community. This new building houses a lecture hall, the Faculty of Law, Business and Government, the College and a large library, consolidating itself as one of the most complete facilities of the university.

During the opening ceremony, architect and MArch speaker Emilio Tuñón explained the details of the project, highlighting its design intended to encourage learning, reflection and collaboration among students. Tuñón highlighted that the building reflects the fundamental values of the UFV, such as the search for the common good and the integration of faith and knowledge. The structure, designed to integrate natural light and open spaces, is conceived to inspire the exchange of knowledge and research, promoting a collaborative environment. He also explained how the white color of the building, like the design of the UFV Sports Center, evokes a play of light and shadow that invites contemplation and reflection, symbolically connecting with the architectural legacy of the university.

UFV Rector Daniel Sada said that this new space is a fundamental pillar in the university’s continued growth, reflecting its commitment to excellence and the comprehensive development of its students. Sada stressed that the Library Building is not only a place for academic training, but also a symbol of the university’s vision as a healthy, environmentally friendly environment focused on the well-being of the entire educational community. With this new infrastructure, UFV reinforces its mission of being a cutting-edge university, committed to the personal and professional progress of its students.
